The Nightforce STND base for the Remington 700 short action is a one-piece Picatinny rail machined from 7075 aluminum to MIL-STD 1913 specifications with a 20 MOA taper. The 20 MOA configuration biases the scope's elevation adjustment range toward longer distances.
This is a standard-duty scope base designed to provide a reliable mounting platform for scope rings or one-piece mounts on the Remington 700 short action receiver. The base is hard anodized for durability and resistance to wear and corrosion.
A 20 MOA taper shifts the optical axis relative to the bore, effectively adding 20 MOA of usable elevation adjustment for long-range engagements. This is the standard taper for precision rifle applications where the shooter expects to dial significant elevation corrections beyond 300 to 400 yards depending on caliber and load.
The base uses 6-48 screws for attachment to the Remington 700 short action receiver. It is compatible with any scope rings or one-piece mount designed for a MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rail.
The one-piece rail design provides a continuous mounting surface across the full length of the receiver, eliminating alignment issues that can occur with two-piece base sets.
This base is suited for precision rifle builds, long-range hunting setups, and any Remington 700 short action configuration where additional elevation adjustment range is needed for extended-distance shooting.
