This upper receiver ships fully assembled with its dust cover and forward assist already installed, saving builders a step compared to a stripped receiver that requires those components to be fitted separately. The T-marked top Picatinny rail makes it easy to return an optic or set of iron sights to the same position after removal, and the dry film lube applied at the factory helps the bolt carrier group cycle smoothly from the first round fired.
