The Bravo Company Manufacturing BFH Enhanced Lightweight Barreled AR-15 Upper Receiver pairs a lightweight-profile BFH barrel with BCM's MCMR-15 handguard for a trimmer, faster-handling 16" mid-length build. This upper ships complete and ready to mount to any Mil-Spec lower.

The lightweight-profile BFH barrel trims swing weight for faster handling while retaining the accuracy and barrel life of BCM's cold hammer forging process. The mid-length gas system is matched to the 16" length, and BCM recommends an H2 buffer for the best balance of reliability and felt recoil in this configuration.
This complete upper mounts to any Mil-Spec AR-15 lower and includes everything shown above except the bolt carrier group and charging handle, so you can choose your own to finish the build.

epic upper

the ELW barrel makes more of a difference than I thought it would.. fit/finish perfect... It came with a Mlok qd sling mount and a rail section... so don't make my mistake and order a sling mount for it.. next to zero slop between this and a BCM lower I had... can't wait to get it to the range this week.
Worth the money

I bought this upper as part of a lightweight build and boy does it deliver. I have it paired with a KP-15 monolithic polymer lower. The complete rifle + optic weighs about 6 pounds unloaded. My first range trip, I put 100 rounds through it to zero the optic and break it in. I was shooting American Eagle 55 grain .223 and using an assortment of magazines, and I had zero malfunctions of any kind. The barrel heats up quickly, but that's to be expected with a lightweight barrel. You can't cheat physics after all. My only complaint, if you can call it that, is the muzzle device. I didn't realize the upper comes with a compensator instead of a flash hider. But let me tell you, I found out real quick once I started shooting. The flash was intense and I was none too popular at the range that day. But that's a minor complaint. Overall I'm pretty much in love with this upper.
